The FBI arrested a New York City police officer for his role in a prostitution ring and a sex trafficking ring in the Bronx
The FBI is investigating a prostitution operation involving the office depot in the Queens borough of New York that the department says it’s working to shut down.
Authorities say Anthony L. Smith, 51, of the Bronx, is being held on charges of soliciting prostitution, criminal use of a telephone facility and criminal use or possession of a firearm in exchange for sex.
The Associated Press can’t verify the details of the charges, which were filed Tuesday.
Smith, who is white, is the second white police officer to be arrested in New York since Trump took office in January.
The first was arrested in August.
