Police officer arrested after arrest for posting fake passport on social media
Police have arrested a man who posted a fake passport at the office of the US Postal Service.
The man, whose identity was not released, was arrested Thursday afternoon after he posted a Facebook status claiming to be an officer from the Baltimore County Police Department, according to the police department.
He posted the passport with the postal service logo in a photo caption.
The post had been shared more than 2,000 times and was shared more that 6,500 times.
The post had a photograph of a police officer with his uniform on and a quote from Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake.
It was captioned: “Baltimore Police Department and US Postal Police have been notified.”
